Issued by Health and Human Services Department

What the record says

This notice announces the application of the statutory provisions concerning the redistribution and availability of unexpended funds appropriated for fiscal year (FY) 1999 for the State Children's Health Insurance Program under title XXI of the Social Security Act. It sets forth the amounts available for each of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealths and Territories from the FY 1999 appropriation for a second period of availability under the statutory formula. It specifies amounts of allotments that may remain available ("retained allotments") to the States to which those amounts were originally allotted during the initial period, and the amounts of allotments that are redistributed from the States to which they were allotted during the initial period to be available to other States ("redistributed allotments").

This is a factual description of what was issued or decided, not an assessment of it.
