super PAC
A committee that may raise and spend unlimited money to support or oppose candidates, so long as it does not coordinate with them. Donors are disclosed.

Formally an independent expenditure-only committee, created after Citizens United v. FEC (2010) and SpeechNow.org v. FEC. It may accept unlimited corporate, union, and individual money, but may not contribute to candidates or coordinate its spending with them. What counts as coordination is the central enforcement question and is narrowly defined.
