The courts

docket

The official chronological list of everything filed and ordered in a case. Also the whole set of cases before a court.

In full

The docket is a case's spine: every motion, order, brief, and hearing, numbered and dated. Federal dockets are public through PACER, with limited sealing. When people speak of the Supreme Court's docket, they mean its caseload; the emergency or shadow docket refers to the separate stream of urgent applications decided without full briefing.
