Civibrief (“the Service”) is operated by Civibrief LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company (“Civibrief,” “we,” or “us”). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
Civibrief is an independent civic-education tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government body, and nothing on it is legal, financial, or voting advice. Civic information is provided for education and transparency, and is sourced from public records; we work to be accurate but make no warranty that the information is complete or error-free. Public records can be incomplete, delayed, or revised after the fact. If you believe a record is inaccurate, you can report it from any record page; we review reports against the official sources but do not guarantee a specific correction or a response.
You can use Civibrief without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You may export or delete your account data at any time from Account & Privacy.
Civic data on Civibrief is, and will remain, free, reading, understanding, and verifying any civic record never requires payment. Paid memberships only add optional, non-civic conveniences and features. Civic data is never paywalled.
Memberships (e.g. Premium and Pro) are optional recurring subscriptions that support the project. Donations are voluntary, one-time contributions. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.; we do not receive or store your full card details. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges at the then-current price until you cancel.
Civibrief LLC is a for-profit company and not a registered charity. Donations and membership payments are not tax-deductible and are not charitable contributions. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars; applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
You can cancel a membership anytime; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.
Don't misuse the Service: no attempts to disrupt it, scrape it abusively, breach its security, or use it unlawfully. We may suspend access that threatens the Service or other users.
