Seventh Amendment
Preserves the right to a jury in federal civil cases where the amount in controversy exceeds twenty dollars, and limits reexamination of jury findings.

The twenty dollar threshold was never adjusted for inflation, so it is effectively no limit at all. The right attaches to claims that would have been legal rather than equitable at common law, which is why a suit for damages carries a jury right and a suit for an injunction does not. It is one of the few Bill of Rights provisions not incorporated against the states.
